Louis Vuitton goes dotty with Yayoi Kusama

This is why Marc Jacobs was the best thing that ever happen to the Louis Vuitton brand.
The king of collaborations Marc Jacobs has brought one of the worlds most influential artists,
one of Japan's most famous Yayoi Kusama to collaborate with this iconic brand.

The collection features her trade mark, polka dot or" infinity net" as she calls it, art.
Yayoi Kusama is not only an amazing talented artist and writer,
she is a strong interesting individual her life, art and achievements are extremely interesting
creative and inspiring.
I love her art the vibrant of color and I just love her fashion style.

I would need to write pages and pages on her to even begin, you really must read more about
this extraordinary woman who has influence people such as Yoko Ono and Andy Warhol.
Who has achieved so much but has been shadowed with
sadness and a long term mental illness during her life.

She has seem to have lived many lives, but only has survived this one, by her art.
" If it not for art, I would of killed myself a long time ago "
Yayoi Kusama.

How adorable is Yayoi Kusama, I just want to keep her!! Hehe.

We could definitely be fashion sisters with our love for color,
polka dots, bright colored wigs and eccentric style.
I haven't been in love with a range or purchased a Louis Vuitton bag since the
Marc Jacobs/Stephen Sprouse Collection.
But this range has made me fall in love all over again!!

Street Art....

I love art, street art, pop art, comic book art,
all art!!
Im such a visual person, I love color!!
Since I was little to now as an adult I prefer picture books over words,
I buy cards to keep because I love the art.
I prefer to do my shopping at a Japanese food market
because the packaging is so artistic.
I could go on and on for days, but I really don't think some people get how much art
Influences there way of life.
Here's some images of my fav Star wars street/ inspired art.
Banksy being one of the most popular and well known street artist uses a lot of
Star wars characters, I wonder if he's like the ultimate Star wars fan boy?

The Dreamer that could....

Twenty two years ago the world lost a
Dreamer, creator, role model, artist and the worlds most loved Puppeteer,
but most of all we lost a friend.....
Even though a lot of us didn't know him personally, he was family
He created characters that inspired us and made our childhoods exciting,
He taught us anything is possible if you just have a dream.
Thank you Jim Henson.

An Artist puts down his pen.....

Farewell Ralph McQuarrie
The world lost a true artist and visionary.
Some of you may not know him by name, but would recognize and have seen some of his
brilliant art.
Ralph McQuarrie isn't only an artist, he is a legend,
Ralph McQuarrie has become a house hold name over the last few decades as
he is responsible for bringing George Lucas dream alive.
Ralph McQuarrie created the concept art for the first Star wars trilogy.
If it wasn't for Ralph McQuarrie the characters we have watched, known and love
would not have been the same from
Darth Vader, Chewbacca ( Han Solo's fuzzball Co pilot )
and the cheeky adorable R2D2....
The planets Hoth and Tatoonie or Cloud City might have never existed,
Thank you Ralph McQuarrie for bringing our Imaginations to life xx

" A fun fact on Ralph McQuarrie is he is in The Empire Strikes Back,
Uncredited in the opening scene at Hoth's echo base he plays General Pharl McQuarrie,
there is an action figure in his likeness."
