Frankenweenie xx

On Monday we were so lucky to go to an early screening
of one of my favorite stories Frankenweenie.
It's based on Tim Burton's original short film from 1984.

The reason why I love this film so much is the love and relationship between
Sparky and Victor.
There is something extremely special about our loves for and from our pets.
Tim Burton brings the movie alive with quirky characters, stop motion, black and white
and real 3D.

It's also wonderful the homage that Tim Burton makes to classic old horror movies,
which I'm such a fan of especially the classic Universal horror movies Dracula and Frankenstein.

I cried, laughed and fell in love with the adorable Sparky all over again.
I think there are some really special messages in Frankenweenie,
The importance of a pet, relationships, friendships, sadness, differences,
Love, beauty and being true and unique to oneself.

" When you lose someone you love, they never really leave you.
They move into a special place in your heart."

Our week in photos.....

Our weeks been filled with Halloween decorations, Halloween movies,
China town, Japanese super markets, puppies dressed in costumes, kitties dressed as pumpkins, Halloween treats for our nephew, moon cake festival, Chinese lanterns,
full moons and homemade cookies.
Not to mention Halloween apps there are so many cute new Halloween apps available.

Black and White Inspiration.....

Frankenweenie World Premiere at Fantastic Fest 2012

The movie that the whole world has been waiting for opened at
The fantastic film festival in Austin Texas yesterday.

The much loved Frankenweenie world premiere went to the dogs you could say?!
With a special showing of the film with guests and there pets dressed in formal attire!!
What a wonderful idea, The gorgeous Tim Burton was there to celebrate along
with other members of the cast and crew.

Tim even discussed how many people over the years had told him there own dogs
are big fans of his films.

I believe and can relate to this as one of my puppies Nimbin loves
The Nightmare before Christmas,
He just loves Zero Jacks pet ghost dog.....

It's an inspiration to see Tim's Frankenweenie come to life and be reborn after all these years,
If you haven't seen Tim's originally short film Frankenweenie he made in 1984
while working at Disney it's a must.

How wonderful to see Winona Ryder at the world premiere,
She looked just gorgeous in this perfect burtonise black and white dress,
she looked amazing and I can't wait to see her as the voice of Elsa Van Helsing.

I'm so excited to see Frankenweenie, as Tim Burton discuss its a whole new project
A new medium, new story, revisiting original drawings, new ideas,
old memories of people, teachers he remembers from school
and even the architecture of Burbank have brought this movie to life.

Frankenweenie opens in the US the 5th of October 2012
and here in Australia the 25th of October 2012.
Just in time for Halloween.

I think we know what the most popular Halloween costumes will be this year,
Especially for dogs!!

Welcome to Hotel Transylvania......

We love this time of year we are getting so excited for Halloween,
I've loved Halloween since little even though Australia's only really starting
to celebrate it here in the last few years.

I think my love from Halloween started from the love of jack o lanterns, Disney movies
and classic Tim Burton films.

I've trick or treated, decorated and dressed up as long as I can remember,
I even use to carve pumpkins out of the hardest, greenest Australian pumpkins for years,
until finally we got the gorgeous orange pumpkin carving pumpkins in our local supermarkets.

No matter how you celebrate, Halloween can be one of the most
enjoyable times of the year.....
Check out the beginning pics of my latest Halloween decorations!!

We also started the Halloween season off last night seeing the
adorable Hotel Transylvania.
Its a super cute film filled with lovable characters and Adam Sandler as Dracula.

The count down begins for the movie of the year Frankenweenie
I'm so excited!!
