Ears to you George!!

George Lucas has signed Star Wars to Disney
for 4.5 billion dollars.
It's really a full circle moment two of my biggest Inspiration!
George Lucas and Walt Disney have joined together!!
I think this is so exciting, I applauded George Lucas strength and gratitude!
I watched an interview with him regarding Disney and the selling of The Star Wars Franchise
and he could not of been anymore gracious, kind and sweet.
Not to mention that he's putting most of the money towards his George Lucas
education foundation.

Twitter blew up with comments, tweets and photos!!
There are some really great Disney/StarWars mashups that I just have to share!

Imagine if Disney hired Tim Burton to direct the new Star Wars film know that would be
crazy, three of my inspirations all working together! Whoa!!

Congratulations to Mr Lucas and Disney xx

And they all lived Happily ever after in a galaxy far far away xx

This is my favorite!! Love it!!

Frankenweenie xx

On Monday we were so lucky to go to an early screening
of one of my favorite stories Frankenweenie.
It's based on Tim Burton's original short film from 1984.

The reason why I love this film so much is the love and relationship between
Sparky and Victor.
There is something extremely special about our loves for and from our pets.
Tim Burton brings the movie alive with quirky characters, stop motion, black and white
and real 3D.

It's also wonderful the homage that Tim Burton makes to classic old horror movies,
which I'm such a fan of especially the classic Universal horror movies Dracula and Frankenstein.

I cried, laughed and fell in love with the adorable Sparky all over again.
I think there are some really special messages in Frankenweenie,
The importance of a pet, relationships, friendships, sadness, differences,
Love, beauty and being true and unique to oneself.

They move into a special place in your heart."

The king of Halloween.....

The King of Halloween.....
When people think of Halloween it's hard not to think of one of the
most amazing, creative, talented directors ever Tim Burton.

I think of Tim Burton as the King of Halloween because of some of the most
loveable characters and films he has created and brought to us over the last 4 decades.

The adorable misunderstood Jack Skellington the king of Halloween town,
and the sweet love story between Jack and Sally make it one of the most popular,
and probably the best Halloween movie made in history.
Not to mention one of the best Christmas movies ever made.

Tim Burton has often expressed he's not a dark person and I feel some people
think of him as an Halloween Icon because he's a little misunderstood.
Being really the totally opposite sure he loves to wear black and most of his movies
are macabre and have singing and dancing skeletons and bone dogs or pets being
brought back from the dead,
But his work also has a lot of humor, he makes us fall in love with these characters,
and yes they are full of real emotion, this is why a lot of us can relate.
We have all felt a bit left out, weird, bullied
or misunderstood sometimes in our lives.

Don't get me wrong, he does have a style and quality to his work that do scream
darkness and macabre.
But his movies are so full of love, emotion and companionship that you can't help
but think maybe his head is full of hugs, rainbows and unicorns!? Hehe

No matter what Tim Burton is one of our favorite directors
and has many people that love and adore his work....
The best thing about Tim Burton is that he can fill a cinema
with so many different kinds of people.
Bringing people together, appreciating each others personal style, personalities and life styles.,
Is one of the best gifts anyone can give to each other.
Remember.....
" One Persons Craziness is another persons Reality"
-Tim Burton.

Halloween Trees.....

It's not just about Christmas trees in December,
Decorative trees have become a huge part of the Halloween season.
Halloween trees are getting bigger every year even with stores dedicating a
whole section to Halloween ornaments for the spooky holiday season.
Why even now at your local shopping malls, Christmas trees come in every color
with black being one of the most popular choices.
I've had my black tree for a few years now and I've been doing Halloween trees
for the last few years.
Many people have discussed why Halloween trees? Where did it start?
A lot have suggested the spooky haunted tree a deserted forest,
overwhelming amounts of Halloween decorations, the season change,
the love of decorating and the holiday season have inspired the Halloween tree.

My Halloween and my Christmas tree
are inspired by one of my favourite stories, movie and person.....
Tim Burton's
The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I love mashing the two holidays together and celebrating from October to December.
Check out some pics of this years Halloween tree.....
I also found some pictures of other people's Halloween trees,
Be Inspired!!
Enjoy.
